EDA Announces the Conclusion of the Fifth Round of the “Cosmetic Products and Entrepreneurship” Diploma Program in Collaboration with the American University in Cairo
The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announced the conclusion of the fifth round of the “Cosmetic Products and Entrepreneurship” diploma program, offered in collaboration with the American University in Cairo (AUC).
The diploma program covered a comprehensive overview of cosmetic products—their types, selection criteria aligned with market needs, and both scientific and practical aspects of their formulation. The program also addressed safety parameters, methods of using international and local databases, regulatory and guidance documents, and compliance with the Egyptian Drug Authority’s regulatory framework. In addition, it included an introduction to the chemical and microbiological analysis involved in cosmetic product manufacturing.
The sessions were delivered by a group of experts and specialized trainers from the Reference Laboratories Administration at the EDA, as part of the professional program offered by the American University in Cairo in the fields of cosmetic formulation and entrepreneurship.
This initiative reflects the Egyptian Drug Authority’s ongoing efforts to support and localize the cosmetics industry in Egypt by enhancing the expertise of professionals through specialized, intensive training programs and workshops. These initiatives are tailored to meet market needs, advance the cosmetics sector, and empower professionals to stay updated with the latest developments, practices, and analytical techniques in the field.
