The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) announces the publication of the Sixth Edition of the Guidelines for the Management of Variations for Human Products (Egyptian Variation Guidelines 6th Edition). The categorization of each variation has also been updated to align with the EMA Guidelines, in support of encouraging the Reliance Evaluation Route system for reliance on reference authorities.

This comes within the framework of the procedures followed by the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Preparations and its continuous keenness to keep pace with updates to international regulatory guidelines such as the EMA and WHO Guidelines. This aims to develop the pharmaceutical industry, encourage investment in the field, achieve mutual benefit, provide necessary support to companies, and regulate and facilitate the speed of required procedures and studies to provide human products in the global and local markets safely and effectively.
