Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority Holds Meeting with Sandoz Company Within the framework of strengthening cooperation with international companies to explore investment opportunities and localize the pharmaceutical industry.

| Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), held an official meeting with representatives of "Sandoz Egypt," a global company in the field of pharmaceutical products. This comes as part of the Authority's efforts to enhance strategic cooperation with the private sector to develop the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt. Both parties discussed opportunities for strengthening joint cooperation, including new regional initiatives and memoranda of understanding aimed at expanding the availability of high-quality pharmaceutical products in the Egyptian market. They also reviewed the challenges facing the pharmaceutical sector in Egypt, and future opportunities that could support Sandoz's sustainability as a strategic partner in the healthcare sector. During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy affirmed the EDA’s continuous commitment to supporting strategic partners by simplifying regulatory procedures in registration and licensing. This ensures the fastest possible access of safe and effective pharmaceutical products to patients. The company's delegation affirmed its full commitment to supporting Egypt's vision for developing the healthcare sector through investment in modern technology, localizing manufacturing, and expanding partnerships with health institutions in Egypt. Dr. Ahmed Bedeir, the new Head of Sandoz Egypt and Libya, expressed his aspiration to strengthen the company's presence in the Egyptian market and support its growth strategy in the coming period, emphasizing the company's commitment to its role as a strategic partner in the Egyptian pharmaceutical sector. Meanwhile, Dr. Sameh El-Bagoury, the former Head of the company, extended his gratitude and appreciation to the EDA team for the constructive cooperation and continuous support the company received during his tenure. He noted the company's continued journey of innovation and provision of advanced pharmaceutical solutions that meet local market needs and keep pace with global developments. The meeting reflects the EDA's keenness to enhance effective cooperation with leading global companies, which supports the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt and contributes to expanding the availability of high-quality medicines, localizing vital industries, and opening new horizons for investment in the health sector.
