"The Egyptian Drug Authority closes a number of warehouses stores in violation of market control.
The Egyptian Drug Authority has taken several administrative closure decisions against drug warehouses that violate the ministerial decree regulating the pharmacist's profit margin and general pricing. In coordination with the concerned authorities, administrative closure decisions have been implemented for a period of up to one month as an immediate measure for these detected violations, within the scope of Cairo and Sharkia governorates.
In a related context, the Egyptian Drug Authority continues to implement intensive campaigns on drug warehouses and distribution companies to review the application of ministerial decisions regulating good storage and distribution requirements, review the pharmacist's profit margin and general pricing of pharmaceutical preparations. Nearly 400 warehouses in various governorates have been inspected this week as part of controlling the drug market, issuing reports on violations, seizing seizures, and submitting them to the Public Prosecution Office to take the necessary legal measures.
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Drug Authority's efforts to control the drug market, preserve the quality, effectiveness and safety of pharmaceutical preparations and medical supplies circulating in pharmacies, as well as follow up on storage and trading places, which benefits the Egyptian patient.
