The Egyptian Drug Authority participated in a press conference organized by the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Cairo, in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Health and Asas World Company. The event aimed to announce the 2026 Oman International Healthcare and Medical Tourism Exhibition, as part of efforts to support and enhance regional cooperation in the health and pharmaceutical sectors.
The EDA was represented by Dr. Yasin Ragaey, Assistant Chairman for Media Affairs, Pharmaceutical Investment Support and the Supervisor of Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Care. The conference featured the participation of H.E. Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, along with representatives from relevant authorities from both sides.
The conference reviewed the exhibition's objectives and key items. Scheduled to be held at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre in Muscat, the event will host approximately 20 countries. It serves as a specialized international platform to boost investment opportunities and foster cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceutical industries, and medical tourism, opening new horizons for joint collaboration between Egypt and Oman.
Dr. Yasin Ragaey emphasized that the EDA's participation reflects its commitment to strengthening communication with regional and international partners. He noted that the authority supports initiatives that attract specialized investments to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian market and supporting regional integration and the exchange of expertise.
