The Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) has announced the official designation of its Continuous Professional Development (CPD) by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the Regional Training Centre (RTC) for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMRO) under the WHO Global Biomanufacturing Workforce Training Initiative. This designation is being implemented in collaboration with the German University in Cairo (GUC) and several leading local pharmaceutical manufacturers in Egypt that have successfully met WHO standards and have been approved as specialized training sites to support capacity building in biomanufacturing and biological products development.
This prestigious international recognition marks a defining milestone that reflects Egypt’s growing leadership and strategic role in advancing pharmaceutical capacity building, biomanufacturing excellence, and global health preparedness.
