EDA Chairman Discusses Boosting Cosmetics Investment with L’Oréal
Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of EDA, met with L’Oréal Egypt, headed by Mr. Mohamed El Araby, the company's CEO. The meeting aligns with the Authority's commitment to enhancing cooperation with leading global companies operating in the cosmetics sector and discussing joint coordination mechanisms to support and develop this vital industry in Egypt.
He emphasized that the Authority is moving forward with establishing an advanced regulatory environment that supports innovation and investment in the cosmetics sector and stressed that strengthening cooperation with leading global companies is a fundamental pillar for knowledge transfer and the localization of the latest international practices.
He further noted that the EDA is committed to applying the highest regulatory standards to ensure the quality and safety of products, thereby protecting consumer health and enhancing the regional and international competitiveness of Egyptian products.
For their part, L’Oréal representatives expressed their appreciation for the EDA’s role in regulating and monitoring the cosmetics sector. They affirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and supporting investment in line with international standards. They also praised the Authority’s pivotal role in developing regulatory frameworks and simplifying procedures, which enhances the investment climate and reinforces the confidence of global companies in the Egyptian market.
The meeting included an overview of L’Oréal Egypt’s operations and executive leadership structure. Both sides discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and opportunities to participate in events highlighting the economic and social impact of the company's investments in Egypt.
Both parties reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination to drive the growth of the cosmetics sector and expand market investment opportunities.
