Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, received a delegation of representatives of local companies and the Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry, to discuss ways of cooperation between the Authority, companies and the Chamber.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to support companies to ensure the availability of medical products for the benefit of the Egyptian patient, discuss various export support proposals and the access of Egyptian products to regional and international markets, and develop and automate registration and control mechanisms in line with international developments.

The meeting also emphasized the need for companies to commit to the continuity of production and raise the level of efficiency of products to upgrade the level of the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt to benefit the Egyptian patient.

Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi stressed the need to maintain effective communication between the EDA and the Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry to ensure the provision of the Egyptian patient's needs for safe and effective medicines.

This comes in light of the Egyptian Drug Authority's keenness to cooperate with all parties to ensure the provision of the Egyptian citizen's needs of safe and effective medicine and its availability to all.
