Egyptian Drug Authority: Conclusion of a Scientific Day on the Latest Specialties in Oncology Pharmacy at Al-Azhar University
The Egyptian Drug Authority announced the conclusion of a scientific day on the latest specialties in oncology pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy (Girls), Al-Azhar University. The event was organized by the Egyptian Drug Authority and attended by Professor Dr. Zeinab El-Qasaby, Dean of the Faculty, along with a number of faculty members, as part of the Authority’s commitment to supporting pharmaceutical education and enhancing awareness of modern specialized fields.
The scientific day aimed to strengthen cooperation between the Egyptian Drug Authority and academic institutions, promote the culture of rational drug use, and develop the capabilities of young professionals, thereby contributing to preparing a distinguished generation of pharmacists capable of supporting the safe and effective use of medicines.
The scientific program included a review of several pharmaceutical practices in the field of oncology pharmacy, highlighting the general principles of this specialty, in addition to introducing the key publications and activities of the Egyptian Drug Authority, including the guideline on the role of pharmacists in managing personalized (individualized) pharmacotherapy.
The day also included the organization of a scientific competition among female students, which witnessed notable interaction and participation, reflecting their growing interest in this vital field and their commitment to developing their scientific and practical skills.
This scientific day reflects the Egyptian Drug Authority’s commitment to supporting integration between academic and practical education, enhancing awareness of specialized pharmaceutical fields, and contributing to the preparation of qualified pharmaceutical professionals capable of keeping pace with modern developments and supporting the healthcare system efficiently and effectively.
