Today, Dr. Amani Gawdat, Associate Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority and Supervisor of the Central Administration of the Office of the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Amira Mahgoub, Head of the Central Administration of Operations, received a delegation of heads and representatives of the General Syndicate and Sub-Syndicates of Pharmacists of Egypt, in the presence of Dr. Osama Hatem, Director of the General Administration of Public Relations and International Cooperation, and Dr. Radwa Abdel Galil, Supervisor of the Authority's branches in the governorates.

The meeting emphasized the importance of constructive cooperation between the Authority and the Syndicate in light of the developments and challenges witnessed by the Egyptian pharmaceutical sector.

The meeting also reviewed the mechanisms for implementing EDA Decision No. 265 of 2024 regarding the follow-up of corrective measures for violations detected by pharmaceutical inspection in pharmaceutical institutions.

The representatives of the unions appreciated the prominent role of the EDA in tightening control measures and implementing effective inspection campaigns on various pharmaceutical institutions to control any violations that may cause a disruption in the pharmaceutical system to ensure the availability of medicines safely and effectively.

This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Drug Authority's continuous endeavor to organize community participation in order to achieve the goals of Egyptian pharmaceutical security, and to achieve effective communication with pharmacists.
