"The Egyptian Drug Authority and it's branches in the governorates, in coordination with the various oversight and security bodies, conducted intensive inspection campaigns on a number of pharmaceutical institutions throughout the Republic during November and December.

Over 20,000 pharmaceutical establishments have been visited. The inspection campaigns have resulted in the release of a large number of records, namely the seizure of unauthorized manufacturing places, the handling of unauthorized medicines, public pharmacies, and a variety of offences, ranging from the seizure of narcotic drugs, drugs smuggled or not registered with the Egyptian Medicine Authority, the absence of the pharmaceutical manager responsible for or acting for him, and the practice of a profession without a licence.

In order to combat the circulation of drugs and drugs that are smuggled and not registered with the Egyptian Medicine Authority and to seize unauthorized premises, more than 400 intensive campaigns have been carried out in coordination with the various oversight bodies throughout the Republic. The estimated value of seizures is over £60 million. All legal measures have been taken, the necessary records have been drawn up, and the illegal seizures have been seized for submission to the competent prosecutor's office.

During the campaigns, all publications issued by the Egyptian Drug Authority were brought to the attention of those who were in transit, and the application of good storage rules to ensure the safe and effective availability of medicines was reviewed, as well as the fair distribution of medicines from pharmaceutical distribution companies.

The Egyptian Drug Authority calls upon all pharmacists and citizens to communicate with it through various means of communication, in the event of irregularities in the handling of medicines, through the hotline, the official website of EDA, and the search mechanism for the registration of pharmaceuticals at the Egyptian Drug Authority.
