The Egyptian Drug Authority has won the title of (Best Regulatory Body in Africa) for the year 2023 in the referendum conducted by the East African Regulatory Affairs Union (EARAPA), which was held through the union's page on the popular professional networking platform LinkedIn.

More than 76% of the followers voted for the Egyptian Drug Authority to receive the title.

The union congratulated the Egyptian Drug Authority, appreciating the dedicated efforts of the authority to strengthen the regulatory system in the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is reflected in the quality, safety, and effectiveness of Egyptian drugs.

It is worth noting that the East African Regulatory Affairs Union (EARAPA) is a non-profit organization established in 2018, specializing in exchanging experiences and information among regulatory authorities in the field of drugs in those countries. This is aimed at building capacities and achieving harmonization in regulatory procedures, which reflects on improving drug quality and reducing the spread of low-quality and counterfeit drugs.

The continuous efforts of the authority to support all forms of cooperation with its African counterparts, and the emphasis on the leadership of the regional authority in obtaining various international accreditations, while highlighting the regional and international confidence in the regulatory system in the Arab Republic of Egypt."
