Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the EDA, welcomed Dr. Ayman Abdel Mawgoud, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, along with the accompanying delegation of ministry officials, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation to support the healthcare system and to achieve integration among the relevant entities, while preventing any unregulated practices that may negatively impact patients’ health.
Dr. Al-Ghamrawy affirmed that the State gives great importance to strengthening the pharmaceutical system and protecting public health as a national priority. He noted that the EDA is working according to a clear vision aimed at tightening control over the trade of pharmaceutical products in all forms, ensuring that safe and effective pharmaceutical products reach those who need them.
El-Ghamrawy also emphasized the importance of adhering to the approved regulatory frameworks governing the trade of pharmaceutical products to safeguard patient safety, stressing that such processes should occur through organized institutional channels that ensure the highest levels of pharmaceutical safety.
For his part, Dr. Ayman Abdel Mawgoud expressed his appreciation for the EDA’s vital role in regulating and organizing the pharmaceutical market and protecting citizens’ health. He praised the Authority’s ongoing efforts to establish supervisory and legislative frameworks that ensure the safe and effective trade of pharmaceutical products.
He further affirmed that the Authority’s disciplined professional efforts reflect a firm national commitment to safeguarding the health of Egyptian citizens and represent a fundamental pillar in supporting the State’s efforts to develop the pharmaceutical sector and promote concepts of pharmaceutical safety in a manner that achieves the highest standards of quality and safety. He also stressed the Ministry’s keenness to continue coordination and cooperation with the Authority.
The two parties reviewed collaborative efforts to enhance public awareness of the importance of complying with pharmaceutical regulations. thereby ensuring safe and organized use that maximizes benefits without compromising citizens’ safety.
