EDA Egypt was elected as the new IPRP Management Committee vice chair for

During the thirteen meeting of the management committee of the international pharmaceutical regulators program that was held on the 5th and 6th of June 2024 in Fukouka, Japan.
Dr Asmaa Fouad ( Head of central administration of biological and innovative products and clinical trials) representative of EDA Egypt was elected as the new IPRP Management Committee vice chair for 2 years through voting in which more than 29 member organizations and countries participated.
The IPRP ( International Pharmaceutical Regulators Programme) is one of the most important international platforms that includes representatives of regulatory and oversight bodies on medicines in countries to enhance the control of medicinal products around the world and share their experiences in regulatory frameworks related to the medicines and exchange the latest versions of regulatory guides and practical experiences in the regulatory field , which puts Egypt on the global map to transfer Egyptian experiences in the practical application of the regulatory technical skills.
A group of experts from the Egyptian drug authority also participated in the meetings which were in conjunction with the semi-annual meeting of the ICH where the Egyptian drug authority delegation participated five technical working groups related to the consultation of the international regulatory rules and the transfer of Egyptian expertise in international forums.
This comes within the framework of the directives of the chairman of the Egyptian drug authority to continuously cooperate and coordinate with various international organizations to keep abreast and apply international standards in drug control, develop long term strategic plans and exchange technical expertise , to reflect positively of the performance of the regulatory system and open horizons of cooperation for different pharmaceutical markets.
