It also aims to strengthen synergies between the activities of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and regional regulatory initiatives, with particular emphasis on combating the circulation of substandard and falsified medical products within African markets.
During the meeting, Dr. El-Ghamrawy delivered a presentation reaffirming the Egyptian Drug Authority's support for the United States Pharmacopeia as an internationally recognized compendium that establishes quality standards for
medicines and contributes to safeguarding patient safety through the promotion of the rational use of medicines and the safe utilization of pharmaceutical products.

Dr. El-Ghamrawy emphasized that these efforts are aligned with the Authority's broader strategy to achieve shared objectives through cooperation with international partners and the adoption of internationally recognized standards in the field of pharmaceutical regulation. Such efforts contribute to strengthening both regulatory performance and the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt, while supporting the development of a more resilient and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.
The Egyptian Drug Authority remains committed to promoting regulatory excellence and fostering international partnerships aimed at enhancing the quality, safety, and efficacy of medical products, thereby reinforcing Egypt's position as a leading regional and international hub for pharmaceutical regulation and manufacturing.
